The Valley of the Moon or Ischigualasto, Argentina.
























































The Valley of the Moon or Ischigualasto Provincial Park, is located north of the province of San Juan within the Department of Fertile Valley, 330 km from the city of San Juan and 80 of the town of San Augustine.
It consists of 275,369 hectares and is one of the greatest paleontological reservations worldwide. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on 29 November 2000.
Ischigualasto bases its value and importance in the rugged landscape and paleontological Requiz.
His fame lies in the large number of fossils that lie, condensed from the Triassic period of the Secondary Era which began about 248 million years and was characterized by the expansion of the first dinosaurs and mammals.
Formations have about 180 and 230 million years.
The park can be seen in a 3-hour tours guided vehicles and bicycles.
